New paper submitted

We submitted a paper to the conference “European Conference on Optical Communications” (ECOC) 2024, which will hopefully be accepted to the conference program. The paper, entitled “End-to-End Learning of Pulse-Shaper and Receiver Filter in the Presence of Strong Intersymbol Interference”, deals with learning simple convolutional filters in a simulated communication link. We show that learning the filters on both sides of the communication channel jointly is superior to only optimizing a single side.

All work was done in collaboration with Francesco Da Ros, Mikkel N. Schmidt and Darko Zibar.
